My name is August Petrén, I’m a composer and music producer based in Sweden who specializes in music for film and media.

My goal is to create music that transports the listener to a place beyond reality. Whether for film, commercials, or standalone pieces, I aim to craft soundscapes that deeply immerses the audience in the story and acts as a bridge, enhancing the emotional connection and enriching the overall experience.

Background:

I began my musical journey as a classically trained pianist but have later on studied both jazz and contemporary music. As of 2024 I hold a Bachelors degree in music production from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
